Welcome

To yoga and movement by Dorka

All About Me

Scientist by training. Yoga teacher by calling. Based in Amsterdam.

Yoga found me during a challenging time in my life. I noticed that while I was practicing, my mind wasn’t running its usual marathon between past regrets and future worries. Instead, it was as if time paused. My breath, my movements were quiet conversations with my body.

In 2022, I left my secure laboratory career and traveled to India to complete my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh. I didn’t plan to become a teacher, I simply wanted to understand yoga more deeply. But life had other plans. From there, everything unfolded naturally.

Back in Europe, I completed a 200-hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in Hungary; and unexpectedly, I was offered a teaching position. Since then, I’ve taught aerial yoga, aerial pilates, spinal-focused yoga, and dynamic flow classes both in Switzerland and in Hungary.

In 2024, I completed a 150-hour Yoga Wheel Teacher Training and fell in love with this powerful, often underestimated tool. (Maybe add a section: The Wheel Method) In January 2026, I returned to India to complete a 300-hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training in Goa. And true to my “student for a lifetime” philosophy, I’m also completing my Mat Pilates Teacher Training in Amsterdam.

Yoga, for me, is regulation.

As a naturally anxious human, yoga isn’t just movement. It’s where:

I am embodied

I am present

I am powerful

That is what I aim to share.

My teaching style is structured yet accessible, influenced by my scientific background and my interest in spine health. I believe strength and softness can coexist. Precision and playfulness too.

I hold space with clarity, warmth, and a little humor. I guide, but I also grow alongside my students.
